Revio: long‑read sequencing at scale

Revio is a high-throughput long-read sequencer with HiFi technology and 99.95% (Q33) sequencing accuracy. Up to four SMRT Cells in parallel, 2,500 human genomes per year and methylation detection directly from native DNA, with no bisulfite conversion and no systematic errors.

  • 2,500 Human genomes per year
  • 4 SMRT Cells running in parallel
  • Q33 High HiFi accuracy (99.95%)
  • 480 Gb HiFi data per run
Key advantages of Revio

More HiFi data. Lower costs.

High data volume

Up to 2,500 human genomes per year at 20× coverage and up to 480 Gb of HiFi data per run. Four independent SMRT Cells with flexible run scheduling.

HiFi quality in every read

99.95% accuracy (Q33), 90% of bases above Q30 and uniform coverage regardless of GC content. A single experiment gives you all variant types: SNVs, indels, structural variants and repeat expansions.

Methylation with no extra work

Every standard run detects 5mC, 5hmC and 6mA methylation directly from native DNA. No bisulfite, no separate library, no extra-cost chemistry.

Easy operation

Starting a run takes less than a minute, and library preparation is ready for automation. Because the work deck is separate from the four sequencing positions, the instrument can be operated at practically any time while it is running.

20× more computing power

Onboard NVIDIA GPUs and the DeepConsensus algorithm from Google Health. Twenty times more computing power than the Sequel IIe. You receive HiFi data in BAM format for downstream analysis.

The quality of HiFi technology

HiFi — long‑read accuracy on par with short reads

Circular consensus sequencing (CCS) reads the same native DNA molecule repeatedly and builds a single, highly accurate long read from it. No PCR, no systematic errors.

Read length up to 25 kb

Covers entire genes, regulatory regions and structural variants in a single read.

Read accuracy

Thanks to repeated reading, accuracy reaches 99.95% (Q33).

Reliable phasing

Phased haplotypes directly from long reads: complete information without additional analyses.

De novo assembly

De novo assembly with quality comparable to reference genomes, including repetitive regions.

Handles complex regions

Resolves highly homologous regions, segmental duplications and centromeres, where short reads fail.

Native methylation in every run

Detection of 5mC, 5hmC and 6mA directly from native DNA. No bisulfite conversion needed.

Q2/2026

SPRQ-Nx — the new sequencing chemistry!

SPRQ-Nx is a new, improved generation of HiFi sequencing chemistry. Its key innovation is multi-use SMRT Cells, which are reusable sequencing cells. Lower consumable use, a lower cost per genome and improved methylation detection.

With the new SPRQ-Nx chemistry, SMRT Cells can be reused, reducing sequencing costs by up to 30%!
