3GENES at the 59th Annual Cytogenomic Conference in Olomouc

From 9 to 11 September 2026, the Clarion Congress Hotel Olomouc hosted the National Congress of the Society of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ČLS JEP) and the 59th Annual Cytogenomic Conference. 3GENES was one of the event’s partners.

Our talk: HiFi sequencing in cytogenomics

Our presentation focused on PacBio HiFi long-read sequencing and its growing potential in cytogenomics and clinical genetics. We showed how much a single HiFi whole-genome run can capture — from SNVs and small indels through structural variants, CNVs and tandem repeats to haplotype phasing and methylation.

At the 3GENES booth

At our booth we discussed the latest developments in NGS with customers and colleagues — from Twist Bioscience solutions and Opentrons automation to Franklin by QIAGEN for clinical variant interpretation, as well as other technologies from our portfolio.

We had the pleasure of attending the 7th Polish Congress of Genetics in beautiful Wrocław.

What if one comprehensive analysis could replace several different NGS panels?

Running several NGS pipelines at once — from wet-lab processing to clinical reporting — is complex, resource-intensive and time-consuming. To streamline its operations, the German laboratory MVZ Pathologie Trier implemented the OncoDEEP® Kit.

With a single solution, it replaced a 500+ gene panel, dedicated HRR/HRD assays and several smaller focused panels. Today, one robust, integrated workflow provides broad genomic coverage, HRR/HRD assessment and clinically relevant insights for solid tumours.
