Comprehensive diagnostics for the future of medicine
Hedera Dx was founded in 2021 in Epalinges near Lausanne, Switzerland. The founders set out to build state-of-the-art NGS solutions for diagnostic laboratories. Their products include library preparation reagents and the Hedera Prime software for complete data analysis through to the clinical report.
Technology
From sample to clinical report
Hedera Dx kits are based on Twist Bioscience technology, a hybrid capture approach. Libraries are ready in just 1.5 days and the process is easy to automate. The kit also includes the Hedera Prime software, which gives you complete data analysis including variant annotation, provides treatment recommendations and generates the clinical report.
FFPE and cfDNA
The portfolio covers FFPE tissue and plasma (HP1), cfDNA from plasma (HP2 and HP3) and RNA (HP RNA). One supplier for every sample type.
UMI
Uses UMI technology to correct errors and increase both the sensitivity and specificity of the analysis.
Validated in a clinical trial
The EMPATHY trial is one of the first European prospective trials to validate liquid biopsy performed directly in clinical laboratories.

A network of partner sites collects data from day-to-day operation. The data support clinical research and the development of new solutions.

Hedera Profiling 1 (HP1)
An NGS panel for testing from tumour tissue (FFPE) and from liquid biopsy. A 115-gene panel for detecting SNVs, indels, CNVs, fusions and MSI across all tumour types in a single DNA test.
Product detailsHedera Profiling 2 (HP2)
A targeted liquid biopsy panel containing the genes that drive treatment decisions in the most common solid tumours. A 32-gene panel for detecting SNVs, indels, CNVs, gene fusions and MSI in more than ten of the most common tumour types.
Product detailsHedera Profiling 3 (HP3)
An extended version of the liquid biopsy panel. It contains 43 genes for detecting SNVs, indels, CNVs and gene fusions and for determining MSI status across the most common tumour types in a single cfDNA test.

The RNA panel is used to detect gene fusions and expression markers. 43 genes for detecting gene fusions independently of the fusion partner and for profiling gene expression, alternative splicing and splice variants, including detection of clinically significant exon skipping.
